Speaker at the Sundance Collab Cultual Impact Residency Info Session

Caitlin McCarthy was a speaker at an online session for filmmakers and writers considering Sundance Collab’s Cultural Impact Residency. They shared the inside scoop on the 2026 edition of this six-month, online program that supports emerging, underrepresented storytellers making work with cultural and social impact.

Launched in 2025 in honor of social justice leader Michael Latt, the residency will support up to eight artists in screen/TV writing, writing/directing, and documentary directing.

Caitlin joined a Q&A as one of the inaugural fellows, sharing her experiences and answering audience questions. Her crime thriller A Native Land was selected for the Sundance Cultural Impact Residency.
